Warq means a thin sheet of metal.
Metal holds on to what is done to it. Every strike of the hammer, every line of the chisel stays in the surface. A sheet of brass can keep the marks of the person who worked it for generations.
That is the idea behind WARQ: a way for the work, and the story of the artisan who made it, to live on.

WARQ is building a collectible art house from Pakistan, known for rare, limited and highly crafted works rooted in the region’s history and artistic heritage.
Every work is made by hand using traditional brass repoussé: raised from the back of the sheet with the chasing hammer, defined from the front with punches and chisels, then heated, reworked and polished. The marks, depth and texture left by the artisan are part of the work.
Our first collection, Drop 001 — Court & Garden, draws on Mughal architecture, aesthetics and symbolism. Future collections will study other forms from the region: Persian-Islamic influences, geometric patterns and other regional heritage.
Each piece is meant to be acquired and kept, not bought to fill a wall.
