Who is responsible for your information

What we collect

When you enquire

Your name, email address, delivery country, and anything else you choose to give us: phone number, company or studio, the work you’re interested in, and your message. We also note which currency you were viewing prices in.

When you acquire a work

Your delivery address and phone number (for the courier), a record of the sale and payment, and the certificate issued for your work. We only record your name against the certificate if you agree to it.

When you browse

Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We use your approximate country, worked out from your connection, to show prices in the right currency. We don’t store it. See Cookies.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation: because you asked us to, as a step before a possible contract.
• To complete, deliver and support your acquisition: to perform our contract with you.
• To keep sales and tax records: because the law requires it.
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam: our legitimate interest in running a safe website.

We will only send you news of future collections if you ask us to, and you can stop at any time.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers, who may only use your information to provide their service to us:

• Vercel: website hosting.
• Supabase: our database, where enquiries and certificate records are kept.
• Resend: sends enquiry emails.
• Cloudflare: domain and network services.
• DHL and our courier in Pakistan: your name, address and phone number, to deliver your work.
• Our bank: to receive your payment.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We never sell your information.

International transfers

WARQ is based in Pakistan, and our providers run services in several countries, including the United States. Your information is therefore handled outside the UK. We share it for the purpose of answering your enquiry or completing the acquisition you asked for, and our providers protect transfers with recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don’t lead to an acquisition: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Sales records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually six years.
• Certificate records (work, edition, date): indefinitely, because provenance is their purpose. Your name is only kept with them if you agreed.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Write to [email protected]. We reply within one month.

If you are in the UK and unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

This website is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
